In my 20’s, before I had a YouTube channel (even before YouTube existed!) I dreamed of creating gorgeous watercolors like I saw in the “Splash” books that I checked out weekly from my local library.

There were lots of tears and frustration before I could start to get the effects that I wanted, without a watercolor teacher, or video demonstrations from talented artists to guide me.

Today it’s a bit of a different story; I am consistently much happier with my watercolor results (though nowhere near the mastery that I coveted) but often my art has taken a backseat to more “adult” responsibilities, like working a day job and raising 2 babies.

I am working to find more balance between the needs of my family, and the needs of my heart that are fulfilled by drawing and painting. In the meantime, while working to get it “all figured out,” I am passionate about helping others that have the same challenges.

I also enjoy teaching a few classes on Skillshare, and I plan to add more since this platform is great for reaching other creative-types.
